“….I wanted to paint the movie in this stylised fantasy feel…and keeping that fantasy feeling consistent across locations was really important and a lot of that came down to our production designer, Josef Franden.

…I was fortunate enough that he put up with my crazy ideas. The script called for everything from candy rings to realistic looking drugs to a fictitious new drug, that I thought would look good as a glowing liquid in these vials. I can’t even count how many vials he had to continually had to fill up through the production. Not to mention the insane amount of glitter that had to continually fall throughout the final act of the film.

So, having a great production designer who’s eager to help bring your vision to screen is vital in a film like this.”
